I have a 91 caddy and just replaced all of the fuel injectors as car was running real bad. 67,000 miles on it.
All of the injectors had bad ohm readings the highest was 8 ohms down to 1.5 for the lowest.
Can someone tell me why all eight of the injector coils went bad or what causes them to go bad? Could it be heat related?
I would check alternator output. It may be overcharging. Too much voltage to injectors could cause the problem. I assume changing the injectors fixed your original problem. If it did not there could be other problems.
It is a fuel Injector design problem that occured on Multec design injectors between 1987 and up to and including 1995 models. Please contact me directly at precisionwestis@aol.com and I would be happy to explain the shortcomings of these injectors and why Injector cleaner chemicals should NEVER be used as a "fix".
