Right after my bro got his Corvette, it got completely sapped.

They had to repaint the car. REPAINT IT.

You could consider the tree sap to be an organic paint protector and just leave it there. The sap can also be considered a theft deterrent as it would require the thieves to remove the stuff before they could resell the car.
