Don't fall in love with A car, fall in love with driving, and do it with as many great cars as you can.

I realize you all are sick of hearing this...but...

I chose both of my vehicles because they were two door models. I have a Ford Explorer Sport and a Cadillac Eldorado.

I will not buy a four door car. Never have, never will.

When I post my opinions I allow that other folks have different views.

I don't say "nobody should do this" or "never" do that...

Some folks love their vehicles, others view them as appliances...

To each their own.

Different folks have different wants and needs and some even love their cars. Nothing wrong with that, if that is what floats their boat.

I choose my cars based on the needs I have for them, and I do love one or two of them...

for what they do for me.

My GTI because it is economical, reliable and fun and fits 4.

My Tacoma because it is capable of hauling fire wood and all the big stuff.

My TR4A because it is a classic collectable and fun.

And my Scout because I enjoy resurrecting a unique american vehicle that is no longer manufactured.
I wanted to buy a Tacoma but the Rangers price was right. Both are reliable trucks but you practically don't need to maintnece a Taco

We had a Ranger a while back, we liked it, but it had design problems that drove me nuts. It served its purpose at the time, but I need the 4WD now, and am very happy with the Taco, which is what my daughter calls it too.

I just think they look awful. 2 doors are sleek, stylish and 4 doors are clunky looking. Just a personal preference. Besides, since I am childfree, I don't NEED any more than two doors. LOL

I'm with you, Mrs.

I buy my vehicles because I like them. Never because they are practical or logical. Living "in town" means I only driver a few thousand miles a year so gas mileage isn't that big an issue . . . performance and good looks are.

My 2005 Chevy SSR is pushing 5 years now and I have absolutely no intentions of letting it get away. It is fun to drive and offers fantastic performance plus the retractable hardtop offers the best of both worlds.

Bottom line . . . buy and drive what you want and like.

I chose my 2007 Yukon Denali because it's big and comfortable for an everyday commute. I enjoy having a bigger vehicle for everyday use, it seems to come in handy quite too. When it's time to trade up in a year or so, I'll buy another SUV or possibly a truck. Not sure what I want at the moment, I'll look into another Denali, but I may also check out the new Lexus SUV.

I have my 2005 Corvette for weekend play. It's too low to the ground to drive everyday to work. It is fun on the twisty mountain roads though .
