Two cars with it (Jaguar X-type and MINI Cooper). I wouldn't even know I was using DBW if I didn't read that they both had it. Never any lag, lack of feel, lack of 'feathering' or cruise control problems at all.

Both of our Ford trucks have DBW. Mine has a V8 the wife has a V6, no lag or responce problems.
With 300 horses I lack no power, maybe the wimpy 4 bangers just want more and blame DBW.

I can tell no difference whatsoever. My Nissan truck has a cable, and my Corolla has drive by wire.

When I get my next new car I intend to defeat / override it with custom static fuel maps, and a real throttle cable. If you have a choice in the segement you are buying in (doubt it) vote with your feet and show automakers that people prefer throttle cables.
LOL
Next car or first car?

No complains if system works ,but on breakdown of the unit you look at 1500 dollar to replace it.
Happened twice in 8 years with my Mitsubishi Mirage.Wish I could go back to throttle cable. Not so expensive

You need to begin your own new thread, rather than tagging onto a thread that is more than a year old, and likely has nothing to do with your problem.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you.
