This is an all around mess but it's the corruption of the Chicago PD, the bad ex-Continental computer system screwing up (again,) and United's aloof - and quite frankly stupid PR response that will ruin their image for a long while.
So you think the old United Unimatic computer system that still used dot matrix printers in 2012 was better than the ex-Continental system? What the heck was the Continental computer system then, an abacus?
I heard attorney Mark Geragos state today that he got "pretty good information" that the settlement Dao got was 2.5 million - with a million going to the lawyer.
I flew out last Friday morning and returned this morning on a business trip and passengers are still discussing all these incidents.
