Thanks for the link. Is there a way to search by school districts on any real estate sites or is that what a good agent is for?

There is one school district per county. The city has its own, but it doesn't have the best reputation and beyond the elementary levels most people go with private schools.

I know the area fairly well, and my best suggestion to you would be private school. I believe the schools with the best rep are in Howard and Montgomery county. You may be able to make the commute to Howard, but Montgomery would be too far. Any other county, I would opt for private. I grew up in Glen Burnie, and I would not recommend it as a place to settle. Hate to say it, but it has gone through some changes for the worst. Severna Park and Arnold are better(still suburban), but more expensive. You would still be in AA county schools, which I think leave a lot to be desired. Please no tomatoes. I am a product of AA schools. Middle River is NO! NO! as well as Dundalk and Essex. Good Luck.
