I have seen some really nice houses, but not sure if the area would be safe for me and my boys. I want a house for sure w/ a private backyard, garage, eatin kitchen 3-5 bedrooms w/a basement no gas. I live in TX trying to move next month what are good areas for a family not trying to do the city. My price range can be 2100-5000 depending on the property....... 4 star elementry/high school son like to play football not trying to have my kids getting beat up lol any suggestions I could really use the help. Thank you look forward to your comments

Are you working here as well or just looking for a place to relocate to?

Don't look there. My entire side of the family got their kids out of there because of how bad the schools are. PG County is the worst schools in the state, and Bowie HS has 3,000+ students. Do you want you kids eventually going to a school that is twice the size of most schools in the state and filled with bussed in underacheivers? Probably not.

I would look in North Baltimore County and Howard County. PG County is a mess, and there taxes will be skyrocketing in the near future.

If they want to play football at a big school and live a good area, I would recommend eastern Frederick County. Both Liganore and Urbana are large football powers and good schools to boot.

Good recommendation. I grew up in Hereford and would recommend Hereford, Dulaney, Towson or Fallston. Not going to find much better than those. Period.

PG county is a mess (school wise anyways). Baltimore city-forget about it. I wouldn't send my worst enemies kids to school there.

Sorry-one more recommendation. I would check out Shrewsbury, PA if you don't mind being in a more rural area. Close to Hunt Valley, very affordable, great schools. Much cheaper than the above options but not close to a major "city city" (Baltimore City is 45 minutes out).
