The word is "Baltimore(/ˈbɔːltɨˌmɔr/)!!!" Please pronounce the "t." It's not Bawlmer, Baldamore !!

When I first moved here I used the 't' all the time. It lasted about 2 months. No 't', please.

Do personally pronounce Mary-Land, like the name of the woman followed by the word "land?" Or do you say Mare-land, like the female horse followed by the word "land?"

BTW, there is no such thing as "correct" English, only different dialects. What people consider "correct" is really just the standard dialect that is most often arbitrarily decided upon by the elite. This leaves both "ghetto people" and "Hillbillies" marginalized for the way they speak.

Based on your other posts, I thought you would object to "the man" determining what is standard and acceptable at the expense of marginalizing minority groups every time they open their mouths.

I consider myself fortunate to know folks from many parts of Baltimore; some pronounce the "t" and some don't, not unlike some in Boston that pronounce their "r"s and some that don't.

In one of the Baltimore native dialects they do pronounce the "T" like Bal-TEE-more.
