Most people will leave you alone, but you will stick out like a sore-thumb and there is a strong possibility you might get robbed or assaulted or at the very least met with aggressive racist heckling by some young dumb criminally insane kids, crazy people or junkies.
This will happen if you are a well off looking black person lol

Crabcakes,

You must live in never neverland, in denial or just plain crazy to make such a statement, especially if you're Black living in Baltimore, or anywhere inside the state of Mary's Land.

I've been living in Baltimore City for the majority of my life and have experienced very little racial tension on the average day to day. And to be very honest, the majority of tension I have ever faced has always been black-on-black.

I have multi-racial friends, have dated interracially and besides some looks (which I hear about but have never really noticed), I've had zero issues. I've also hung out in racial diverse areas or areas where there were more whites than blacks and was met with welcome and friendly vibes. Same as in the workplace.

I also know several white teachers who teach in majority black inner city schools whose students love and respect them. I went to all-black city schools where we generally had no more than 3 white kids per class and I recall as a group, we were kind of protective of them, being the "minorities". We were curious of them but everyone was friendly and inclusive with them.

Just my personal experiences.

It doesn't matter because Whites, Asians, Arabs, and other ethnicities run the economy of Mondawmin Mall, so all that jest thumpin' insanity is wasted projected energy. Black folks in Mondawmin don't run anything but their wallets and their hot-mouths.

I have a question for those who voted average in this poll?

How do you quantify average racial tensions in a city?

You know what, IH, you can deny your own experiences, but you cannot deny mine. I know what I have experienced but YOU do NOT KNOW what I have experienced.

Keep being insulting and smug. Its really working out great for you!

Yeah Mondawmin today seems alot more tame from what it was in the 90s. Many white folks frequent the Target that is there.. though it may be questionable how many actually venture into the Mall. Those that do.. I dont believe get the "WTF.. a white person" look as much as say in the 90s. I have seen plenty of "white mikes- from Curtus Bayeeh" going in there as opposed to "white Michaels from- from the County" so it probably more of a cultural or class thing.. hip hop versus yuppie

WTF????!!! If black people go to Mondawmin and open their wallets, they run the mall, not all of those other ethnic groups that you stated.

In business, "those who have the money make the rules" and "the customer is always right".

Honestly, I don't think black/white relations in the city and for much of the region for that matter are all that great. However, I'm too lazy to go into any detailed explanation.
