Screw the Filthies. If that happens, I'll be rooting for the O's in that one.

O's might win it all for the first time since 1983!!!! 31 years and counting.. the people of Maryland deserve it after having to put up with bad baseball for a long time. Cal Ripken would be proud of this team.

Default Exemption? Huh?

Could this be the long-lost explanation to Brady Anderson's one-time-only fifty HR season?

There is a legitimate use for adderal. It has been used to treat ADD/ADHD for years. For someone diagnosed with that condition it helps balance out chemical imbalances in the brain. If the use is medically justified it requires more than 'a note from the doctor' and I'm sure MLB requires more justification than that. I would in fact like the justification and the process required to get approval to be explained, at least in general (not individual specific) terms

Agreed. The Phillies are actually the worst.

Alright guys, lets keeps the Phillies out of this. We won our World Series Title back in 2008. No need to be jealous.

Jealous of your current last place standing? Nah, I don't think I'm jealous.

Go Buccos!

I would love to see the Os in the World Series though. Just like 1971 and 1979!

(yes, I am both a Baltimore Ravens fan AND a Pittsburgh Pirates fan. That's what you get when you are equidistant from three major cities.)

An O's/Pirates World Series would be fun! Definitely wouldn't mind that at all.

I'm well aware that amphetamines and amphetamine-like drugs (Ritalin, e.g., probably the most famous of them) have been used for decades to treat hyperactivity and attention deficit disorders. Quixotically, they seem to have a calming effect on persons suffering from such conditions. My brother was prescribed Dexedrine for several years while in school, and it certainly helped his concentration. It also gave him tremors, heart palpitations, and helped him become an All-State Defensive End as a starting 116 lb. freshman in High School.
My point is that even if one has ADD/ADHD (or whatever is trending term-wise this season), amphetamines will increase one's reaction speed and focus on the task at hand-e.g., hitting a 95 mph fastball, and/or running a 4.0/forty. I am sure that money has a large part to play in major league ball players being allowed to play while taking amphetamines, and money is all the justification MLB needs.
