They used to do this at all times. I don't know why they stopped. Now, people just clog up the approach roads instead, while they're dropping people off or picking them up. Penny wise, pound foolish.

Half-hour is nothing!

I usually try not to fly out of BWI even if it's cheaper. I keep my money on Reagan or Dulles. Half hour is the time it takes to go from your car to the shuttle to the gate.

I don't understand your rant?


This is designed for folks not sitting and hogging space on the road (or shoulder) while waiting to pickup family/friends from the airport; not for folks to save on parking while flying somewhere.

In that case you just park your car in arrivals, if they ask you to leave, just loop around again and keep doing it. I did this in Newark. Or just hang out on the shoulder until your arrival sms you that they are there.
