Are there still hundreds of people entering and leaving, and regarding those who are leaving, are they heading for the four bakeries located along a three-block strip for their breakfast?

I passed it on a weekday. I don't think there are four bakeries over there and am not sure what the size of the congregation is. How long has it been since you lived in Baltimore?

The nearest bakery I know of is the Woodlea bakery, and it's over ten blocks away.

1944-early 70s.

There was the Blue Bowl at 3233, the Vilma at 3406 right across from the movie, the Pelham at Belair & Pelham, and ??? (can't recall the other one).

On Sundays, that church had five or six Masses in the upstairs (main) church and two in the basement, featuring a cast of thousands. On weekdays an early requiem Mass followed by 8am Mass at which the kiddos from grades 5-8 attended with our handlers (nuns).

C.H., I live off of Frankfort and Belair (a block from St. Anthony's-they no longer operate their own school, incidentally), and pass the Shrine of the Little Flower at least twice a day. I don't know what their Mass schedule is like currently (we generally go to Most Precious Blood), but they seem mostly used for funerals. None of the establishments you mentioned still exist.
Woodlea Bakery does, I'm there at least a couple of times a week.

B.K., LF's website lists three Masses on Sunday. It's surprising that they have that many. Bet they're half empty. Most Precious Blood's on Bowleys Ln. as I recall.

It was a real blast driving when there were streetcar tracks.
