Any recommendations on some reputed climate controlled storage centers in the 20 mile radius of Ellicott City? I found Public storage and Extra Space storage in the area so far from googling. I was told by the mover to specifically ask for an 18 wheeler accessible unit for easy unloading. Any other tips while looking for the ideal place?

Just a general comment. Ellicott City around the intersection of Routes 29 and 40 can be quite hilly. The terrain is flatter to the east around Hanover, so it may be easier to find one that is easily accessible to a 18-wheeler. Also, the Public Storage place at 5525 Baltimore National Pike, (Route 40) Catonsville looks easy to drive into, and it is right off the Baltimore Beltway.

Thank you, I wasn't aware of the hilly area. Really appreciate the tip.
How about the Public Storage location at 9265 Berger Rd, Columbia? Is that route hilly as well?

No, that one seems fairly flat and easy to get into. Good luck.

BTW, when you are house hunting, ask about flooding if the house is at the bottom of the hill. When I first came to Columbia in 1972, Hurricane Agnes flooded on of the entrance road and killed a couple. Downtown historic Ellicott City had been flooded several times.

Yes I heard that as well and let my realtor know about it. Where is downtown Ellicott city? Is it around the baltimore national pike (40 and 29 intersection area?) near the H-Mart?

No, try this at 8014 Frederick Road. Downtown has antique stores and a brewery:
