It was painful to watch. The Phils got one hit after the 2nd inning. And Manual chose Francisco over Mayberry as the pinch hitter (Mayberry never got the chance standing in the on deck circle as the game ended).

I was so hoping for extra innings to see what they would throw out as a pitcher - but apparently it wasnt required

Phillies fans never cease to amaze me. Cheering loudly after Allen Craig almost got hit in the face with a pitch was super classy.

And cheering even louder when Chooch holds on to the ball after being deliberately elbowed in the face. If it is going to be played rough there is no reason to not support the competitive element of the game

LOL. Yeah, barreling over the catcher in an attempt to score a run is totally the same thing.

You're definitely a Phillies fan!

Anybody wondering how Posada drew TWO walks, when the TOTAL number pitches outside the strike box was only four in two plate appearances?

I have some questions for Fox Network:

1. How much do you pay for the World Series TV rights?

2. Would you rather televise a Brewers/Rays series, or a Yankees/Phillies series?

3. Is anybody in the Commissioner's office aware of your answers to those two questions?

From a ratings perspective it seems like an easy answer

Pujols looks like he's playing hurt, tired, and listless. Looking at his body language, I don't think he has any interest in going back to Philadelphia tomorrow, and it is questionable if he ever wants to play another game in St. Louis. Sure, he got a few doubles, but with his natural hitting talent, that's the easy and effortless part. He just doesn't look like he wants to play anymore.

I can't say I blame him. He's being used basically as a lead-off man who can't run. The three batters that bat before him are the pitcher, a guy with a .298 OBP, and a rookie, and they're never on base.

Hope Milwaulkee eliminates Philly if they meet in the NLCS. A Detroit v Milwaulkee WS would be a good one.
