Josh Reddick is 0 for his last 29 and is growing desperate for a hit.
When he was going good in the first half Reddick came to the plate flipping his mouth guard in and out of his mouth, he wore sunglasses while batting and had a beard.
As the second half slump has continued, Reddick has taken a scientific approach to figuring out what was wrong. It was obviously the mouth guard causing the slump, so he got rid of that.
But things got worse.
So clearly it was the sunglasses and they have now been jettisoned.
And things remained bad.
So last night or this morning he figured out that it has been the beard all along and tonight he is playing clean shaven for the first time.

After Werth's seeing-eye grounder up the middle extended the Nats' lead to 7-4 the Phillies' chance of winning was about 4%. Werth's single increased the Nats' Win Expectancy by 12%

Greenberg has a somewhat interesting story. In 2005 he made his major league debut. He was hit in the head with a fastball, diagnosed with a concussion, and has yet to play another game in the majors.
Greenberg has been signed by the Miami Marlins and they plan on adding him to their roster and playing him on October 2nd.
