The Giants and A's closed out what was a fantastic three game series today with Oakland winning on a 3 run walkoff home run..naturally two outs, two strikes.

The game winner was struck by Derek Norris, 23 year old catcher who had been called up last week and was playing in his third ML game. The walkoff was his first career homer.

On Friday night the Giants scored 4 in the ninth to win by a run. On Saturday the A's scored 4 in the ninth to lose by a run. Today it was the A's with 3 in the ninth to win by two runs.

Cardinal manager Mike Matheny botched a double switch, and came out smelling like a rose. He tried to double switch, but put his pitcher in a spot that was not vacated, and in the tenth, the pitcher came up with the bases loaded. He had no pinch hitters left, so he batted speedy Joe Kelly from his starting rotation, who beat out an infield hit, delivering what proved to be the winning run.

Dodgers lost, again, but Kershaw did snap off this curveball to Gregor Blanco in the 4th inning.

A few 94+ MPH fastballs and 85 MPH sliders followed up by a 75MPH curve with almost a foot of vertical break that starts out looking like it's coming at your noggin before it dives down over the plate just above belt high.

Good pitch with the bases loaded.

No runs for two nights, but at least you have the memory of that curveball.

Maybe it is just me...but your above GIF seems to be screwing up the ability of this page to load.

Vance Worley with another good outing for the Phillies, he now has 9 Quality Starts in 12 appearances this year. His 2.92 ERA puts him in the top 20 starting pitchers in the NL.

He is tracking very well to what he did last season, cementing himself in as another solid starting pitcher for the Phillies.
