Wonder about Wander no more. He's headed to The Show.

Rays went through a couple of rough stretches here recently with some losing streaks, but I think they have righted the ship again beating the Jays 7-1 Friday.

Rays are still looking good with the best record in the AL. How they made it this far with no starting pitching is a testament to how well Cash manages the team.

Sale is back with the Red Sox though so it should be a tight race down the stretch.

How they made it this far? by playing the Orioles what seems like every other series, that's how.
Good God, are they awful. Losing 15 in a row is an embarrassment to the game. No MLB team, no matter how bad should ever lose 15 in a row. They should be fined by the league.

The Red Sox and Yankees get to play the Orioles just as often. The Yankees have managed to lose 5 games against them.

It's true. They do seem to turn it on when they play the Yankees early on but now they've stopped competing altogether and packed it in showing no pride for the game or respect for competition.

For all the talk about the red hot Yankees of late, they have only gone from 7.5 to 6 games behind the Rays since the All-Star break. At this rate they will run out of games before the Rays take the AL East.

in that time frame, The Rays have been feasting on patsies while the Yankees had to tackle first place and playoff teams (excl Twins) on their streak. (4-2 vs Rays before that). The A's did a great job getting a split fighting for a playoff spot. They showed pride and fight. Lets see the Rays sweep the Sox now.

I think the Rays will ultimately win the division. The Yankees have been good, but I think their luck will run out again and emerge once more as also-rans.
