Congrats to the Cubs. Good series for baseball.

I was rooting for the Indians but like my previous post I can take some solace that there is now closure for Bartman. He is no longer enemy #1.

Now would be a great time for him to come out of the shadows.

Bartman hasn't been "Enemy #1" for at least a decade. In that decade, non-Cubs fans have been far more obsessed with Bartman than Cubs fans ever were.

Bartman can rest easy now! People have been clamouring for him to throw the first pitch next year at Wrigley based on what I've seen online!

I certainly am fully on board with your "Go Cubs".......The Cubs did, in fact, "go" and I'm in heaven and still am pinching myself.

as for "I hate it when teams have such absolutely pathetic fan support (Indians with their 1,591,667) in a pennant winning year", I disagree. One would expect an increase in attendance in the year after a championship (or series appearance) as that will tend to kick up season ticket sales.

I'm a loyal Chicagoan, lover of the Cubs and claim the White Sox as my second favorite baseball team and I will say without reservation: neither Cleveland nor the Indians have anything to be ashamed of.

^^ In a year when the Indians were leading the division for over half the season and in the race for substantially all of it and tickets were available for as low as $5, they deserved a lot more from their fans than to play to a stadium that on average was half-empty. There was no excuse for the fans to not show up like that when the team was delivering a top-tier product all season.
