2017 Season: Game 160 (29 September 2017 - 19:15) - Milwaukee Brewers at Saint Louis Cardinals
The Cardinals, eliminated from postseason contention, will end the 2017 season by hosting the Milwaukee Brewers to a three-game series.
Milwaukee Brewers (84-75)
Second, National League Central Division (6.0 games behind Chicago Cubs)
Anderson, Chase; RHP (11-4, 2.81 earned run average, 128 strikeouts)
Saint Louis Cardinals (82-76)
Third, National League Central Division (8.0 games behind Chicago Cubs)
Gant, John; RHP (0-0, 3.65 earned run average, 8 strikeouts)
John Gant (0-1) lost the decision. He allowed seven hits, allowed four earned runs including one home run, allowed three bases on balls, and struck out three in five innings.
The Brewers are in a better position because they win games. The Cardinals are the polar opposite.
Right and the Brewers definitely need a win tomorrow and they also need Colorado to lose to make it. Because if it's the other way, Brewers are out and the Rockies are in.

Guerra, Junior; RHP (1-4, 4.90 earned run average, 62 strikeouts)
Saint Louis Cardinals (82-77)

Weaver, Luke; RHP (7-2, 3.23 earned run average, 68 strikeouts)
sorry to see them eliminated; let's hope for a better year in 2018. Not a huge fan, but certainly pay attention to them and we get the games on radio here. I would rather see them in post season play than any other team in their division.
I just tried to listen to KMOX and the Cardinals radio call, it's so bad it's worth listening to just to hear how bad it is. Wow, how do you guys listen to such a sleeper. I honestly think 50% of the people on CDF could do a better job.
Luke Weaver, in no decision, allowed nine hits, allowed six earned runs including one home run, allowed four bases on balls, and struck out four in four and two-third innings.

The Cardinals have issues dating back to the 2015 season. In the 2015 season, good pitching overshadowed the lackluster offense that remains. Bats have not been hitting balls for base hits and runs batted in. This season, pitching has imploded in the bullpen.
I hope the Cardinals improve in 2018 by making necessary moves. First, the coaching staff needs to be retooled by firing field manager Mike Matheny and hitting coach John Mabry. Second, the Cardinals will need to participate in talent acquisition through trades and free agency. (Doing nothing at the trade deadline was an epic fail.)

The Cardinals' lackluster play makes them bad to listen to.
