Figure we need a thread since the season looks like its a go. It seems very likely the title will end up in one of four cities, Dallas, Miami, Chicago or OKC. Boston is older, Lakers are weaker and I don't really believe in anyone else out there.

66 games is the word on how long the season will be. Shorter season = weirder things, but I think 66 will be enough to let the cream rise to the top. I don't think we will have anything too weird like an 8 seed making it to the NBA finals like the last time we had a delay in the start of the season.

Personally, I'd like to see in this order: Bulls win it all, Heat fail again. I know, I know, rooting against the heat is shallow, but its so fun to watch them fail. Lets do this!

I'd like to see the Thunder playing either Heat of Bulls, no real preference either way there. I can't see anyone but either of the latter two coming out of the East.

Rockets all the way dude!....uhh..nevermind....OKC all the way against either Heat or Bulls!

Btw, free agency starts on Dec 9th and with the new CBA, there are only 3 days for matches in contracts regarding restricted free agents as opposed to 7 days. I'm still trying to read up more on the new CBA stuff....will post more info when i find out detailed info.

Yay I am so happy the lockout is over!!!!! But I think this season will be full of surprises. I hope so. I cant stand Boston or LA. I WOULD love Chicago or Dallas be contenders in the NBA FINALS 2012. I am crossing my Fingers actually. But who knows? I am just excited that I can see something on tv. From July - Nov 26 was boring as heck without any NBA action : ( .
I seriously wish they will extend some until july or something to make up for lost time. stupid lockout.

What does anyone think of the Clippers this year? Playoffs? Above .500?
I think they are an exciting team with Blake and I think a couple of exciting younger players.

Well, I think the West is weaker now than it has been, so that helps their cause. I think plus 500 is possible, maybe a low seed in the playoffs, but I would not be comfortable enough to bet on it.

But yeah, Blake is a ton of fun to watch

I'm not sold on the Blake griffin hype. I think the bulk of his "exciting" is because we are constantly told how exciting he is. Kid is a beast and can jump/dunk but he has no shot, he can jump and that's about it. He is a shorter, smaller, weaker d-Howard but we never heard all the hype about dhoward because we where to busy being sold on the king James hype.
