Why is it when a team plays a game after a long break and struggle early or lose the game, the media says....."RUST". And if that teams comes out clicking and winning then the media says......"Well rested"

Why can't it mean that the other team was just BETTER?

Go Spurs!
Shouldn't we be blaming Durant for the loss?

Why blame Durant when he was shutdown by good defense in the second half?

Brooks commented last night:

Among them was head coach Scott Brooks admitting to making a mistake by keeping forward Serge Ibaka, the runner-up in the NBA Defensive Player of the Year balloting, on the bench in the fourth quarter. That's when the Spurs scored 39 points and shot 12 of 16, after the Thunder held San Antonio to just 16 points in the third.

Brooks said he'll beat himself up over not putting his defensive ace back in the game, while explaining how sidelining Ibaka seemed the right idea at the time. After all, Brooks said, keeping Ibaka out and going with a smaller lineup worked in the previous playoff series against the defending champion Mavericks and the Lakers.

''I think every decision you make, if it doesn't work out, you say, 'Why did you do that?''' Brooks said. ''And I'm with you on that. I wish I would've played Serge last night.''

How did scott brooks even become a NBA coach? He was a bench player for the sixers and rockets and not all that good so I'm still he was able to become a NBA coach?

You mean the 2010 Nba coach of the year, the same coach who has coached the once terrible thunder (sonics) to back to back western conf finals?

Maybe the thunder should fire him tonight?

Got nothing to do with who is playing for him. If that's how it worked then maybe vinny DN or maybe Eric s would have won it by now.

I'm sorry but I am so tired of reading all your "how is he a coach" and "how is he even in the league". If some of it wasn't so preposterous it's funny I would just ignore.

Lots of Thunder fans would disagree with you since Brooks couldn't help his team extend that 9 point lead at the beginning of the 4th qtr.
