Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel reports, “Chris Bosh has decided to put his 12,368-square-foot home on Miami Beach's North Bay Road on the market the Miami Heat center on Wednesday told the Sun Sentinel.”
...
"I'm in Miami for the rest of my career," Bosh said. "I plan to be there. I plan to retire there. I plan to win hopefully a lot more championships there. So that's where home is."
...
As Winderman noted, Bosh is a neighbor to Wade, which may or may not have significance depending on how far down the speculation hole you want to climb.
So where is Bosh on the SportsNation BS Meter? Is he staying or planning on checking out of Miami?
I'm gonna stick up a little for Chris Bosh. He continues to play the vast majority of his minutes at the 5, often next to a small 4. This can generally be OK in the regular season but in the playoffs against good and big teams it becomes a big problem. No wonder the Heat have been outrebounded almost every playoff game.
Bosh has spent the playoffs matched up against the likes of Duncan, Hibbert and Noah. You cannot expect him to post typical numbers against these guys. His playoff stats are about 12ppg, 7rpg, and 45% shooting. Put him as a full-time 4 next to a real center and those numbers would probably be about 18, 10 and 50%.
Some will say there are no real centers the Heat could have acquired, but that is a cop-out. Even playing Joel Anthony more would improve Bosh's game. A lack of a center even hurts LeBron's and Wade's defense because they are often playing way off their men thinking about rim protection.
It's kind of funny watching the Heat playing Mike Miller and Ray Allen together (duplicate players at this stage) while what they need is more manhood underneath.
But who knows, maybe they'll squeek out another championship playing small.
