I never cared for Jordan and Kobe, and I don't care for Lebron.

I don't hate him, I understand he's a good player, but I've never cared to pay attention to the guy.

Reggie Miller, probably the best flopper to ever play the game, as well as one of the best shooters ever to play basketball, was the only reason why I even got into basketball.

I don't hate LeBron. But I never liked the hype. I remember seeing him on the cover of SLAM as a sophomore in HS (along with Sebastian Telfair...what happened to him?) and ever since that moment it's been a non-stop gravy train of hype. People were calling him "King James" before he stepped onto an NBA court and comparing him to Jordan...WTF? That always annoyed me. Also, he seems immune to criticism that I think he deserves to some degree. Example: If Kobe Bryant or Carmelo Anthony were on those Cavs teams that won 66 and 61 games, were one the top defensive teams in the NBA and among the elite in the Eastern Conference and still didn't even make it to the Finals in that run they would be called losers. Straight up. Yet LeBron gets a pass, all of a sudden instead of bearing some of the responsibility as the teams LEADER people say he had nobody around him. You don't win 66 and 61 games, dominate on defense and steamroll the league in the regular season with NOBODY around you. THAT RIGHT THERE is what has always bugged me about LeBron. Other than that, I have nothing to hate about him.

The Decision™ was dumb and reflected poorly on the league, but people need to get over it.

Flopping? Everyone in the NBA flops. Why wouldn't you sell calls if it's effective? Harden, Rondo, Chris Paul, Ginoboli, Durant, and a bunch of other guys are far worse offenders than Lebron and no one hates them. And I guarantee everyone posting here who played basketball has flopped before. Ever fallen backwards when taking a charge when you could have stayed straight up? That's flopping, and most of the time if you don't fall backwards you're not getting that call.

I mean, he hasn't done much to elicit hatred. It's not like he assaults teammates, cheats on his wife, embarrasses teammates in the locker room, blackballs guys from the Olympic team, or stays up all night gambling before playoff games.

Lol. But he never flopped. Anywho, LeBron is my favorite player, and I hope he gets an other ring this year.

If Kobe or Carmelo were on those 66 and 61-win Cavs team they would have been 53 and 50-win Cavs teams.

They would have won the NBA tile....well, Kobe at least. You wouldnt see Kobe telling a team mate "we cant beat these guys" re, the Celtics....

Lebron just couldnt do it so he split town and rubbed it in with "the decision". Not only that but he had a start studded afair in Miami proclaiming that he'd win 6-9 titles. He's a doucher.
What also bugged me about him is against the Mavericks, they started so very cocky. Then Dirk took control of the series and Lebron and Dwayne even tried to mock Dirks flu he had. Fools....plus Lebron completely shrunk in that series when the pressure was full.

You're telling me this:

Ilgauskas/Varejao
washed up Ben Wallace/Joe Smith
Wally Z/Pavlovic
Kobe Bryant
Mo Williams/Delonte West

or this:

washed up Shaq/Varejao
Jamison/Hickson
Jamario Moon/Danny Green
Kobe Bryant/Anthony Parker
Mo Williams/Booty Gibson

Would have beaten this:

Kendrick Perkins/Rasheed Wallace
Kevin Garnett/Glenn Davis
Paul Pierce
Ray Allen/Tony Allen
Rajon Rondo/Nate Robinson

No. Freaking. Way. The Celtics would have destroyed those teams. 4-0 or 4-1.

The real lebron (lowercase) came out during "The Decision". Seeing them lose the first year made it sweet. Now, I couldn't care less.

I agree, but I still cant help rooting against Lebron. Part of it for me is those who think he's as good as Jordan or even Kobe. I just dont see it. He's a phenomenal physical specimen, but he's not as good a basketball player.

Bingo. When it comes to physical traits, he's a specimen we've never seen before. But he just doesn't seem to have those cold, killer intangibles that guys like Jordan and Kobe had.

No way are those teams even remotely competitive with the Celtics. Not even close. Your Lebron hatred is causing your brain to malfunction.

Kobe lost to the Celtics in 2008 with an infinitely better team that had Bynum, Gasol, Odom, Fisher, Farmar, Ariza, etc. Not to mention Phil Jackson. The supporting cast on that team was massively better and they lost in 6 (including a 39-point game 6 prison raping). Bynum, Gasol, and Odom were all better than the 2nd best player on those Cavs teams.

Bynum >> old Shaq
Gasol >>> Jamison
Odom >>>>> Jamario Moon
Fisher = Mo Williams (feeling generous here)
Ariza >>> Danny Green
Farmar >>> Booty Gibson

You want to see what Kobe did with a bad supporting cast and Rudy Tomjanovic coaching?

Chucky Atkins/Tierre Brown
Kobe Bryant
Caron Butler/Deveon George
Lamar Odom/Brian Cook
Chris Mihm

34-48.
