If this team can reach 80s Milwaukee Bucks status, or the early 90s Seattle Supersonics status, that'd be worth it in my mind. I don't see this team winning a Finals, just don't have all that much faith in Embiid. I could of course be wrong...

We're only in year 2 of the rebuild, noel, embiid, saric haven't even played a game yet and you're already saying they can't win a championship? Have some faith man. Look these kids in the face and tell them they ain't winning anything.

I am so pumped on the sixers.

You know what, you're right. I'll keep my thoughts neutral until April. But we can usually tell, as early as their rookie season, if they're gonna be a superstar or not. I don't think 16 & 9 are unreasonable expectations for year 1

They are the ONLY winless team in the NBA. Let's see how much longer that lasts.

I have a strong feeling it isn't going to be soon. Even the Lakers have a win.

Yeah, but unlike the Lakers....doesn't the 76ers get to keep most of their future draft picks?

I guess but it's kind of hard to get excited for a team that probably won't be good for the next 4-5 years.

It can happen faster than that.

Good draft picks can be used to bring in proven talent via trade like in the Kevin Love trade this year.

One big danger is bad "age matching" IMO.

ie) You don't want to add some guy just about to hit his downturn to a bunch of young guys that are 3-4 years from reaching potential.

The bigger danger is giving up talent\picks for little value that then ties up your salary cap for ages.....aka Steve Nash trade.

Or sign guys way past their shelf life and eating up your cap space....aka Alan Houston trade.

Make enough of those mistakes and a 3-4 year rebuild can turn into a lost decade.

First at all, is it time for the Sixers to get the first win? Next game vs Boston. Do we have a chance here?
