I think its a legit question. He has been on shark tank 15 years. He has owned the Mavs for 23 years. Suddenly he is making major changes in his life.

Media is thinking he's running for President but Cuban shot that down. Claims he wants to be a part of the new arena being built in Dallas which will have a gambling part of the structure if gambling gets approved in Texas. IMO, he's trying to cash out and make even more money being a part of a gambling conglomerate since the buyers of the Mavs own a casino in Vegas.

I don't get the appeal of that for him. He has enough money (he has said that) and recently started his "Cost Plus" low-price drug company for reasons of social altruism. I'm sure he understands all of the social ills that go along with casinos. Maybe he is interested in the kind of performance venue that usually comes along with a casino, to attract mega-talent, but then why not just build a performance venue.

I am thinking he might be talking to one of the major political parties and they've told him he can't say anything. My personal conspiracy theory.

Casinos make it a lot more lucrative. Look at Vegas. Here in Oklahoma lots of older bands past their expiration dates play here at the local casions. Sure they could perform elsewhere but there has to be a reason the choose the casino circuit.

Casinos are a constant revenue stream. Can't say no to that kind of revenue coming in monthly. Hell, daily.

Must be so weird being a Mavs and Doncic fan, virtually impossible to ever win a ring with such powerhouses in the West, and even Doncic's most gaudy statistical years won't get him MVP because Jokic's efficiency is just too much (its possible to beat Jokic in MVP race as Embiid showed - even if I think Embiid didn't deserve it - but your team needs more wins than Denver).
