I'm going to go out on a short limb and say: yes.
He's progressed tremendously in a short amount of time and if he can develop a reliable mid-range shot, I think he can be a more athletic Marc Gasol. The dearth of good true centers in the league also helps ... he's just below these guys right now:

Cousins
Gasol
DJordan
Drummond
Whiteside
Horford/AD (although they're true PF's)

I love Steve Adams, he's one tough dude, and he seems to be a great guy off the court as well. I sure hope for a successful career for him. Like everyone else said, he's only 22, he has plenty of time to get much further than what he already has.
