Zaza just agreed with warriors.
They're trying to shore up that center spot
Nice pickup...makes me feel a lot better about losing Bogut. It looks like it might be a Miami situation where players accept one-year deals for less at a chance to get a championship.
Yep, ridiculous. Not a top five PG in the league, maybe not a top ten. Never been an All-Star. Massive desperation on the part of the Grizz.
Conley is a top 8 to top 10 PG in the league but I agree he is not a top 5 PG and, yes, he's never been an All Star. The Grizzlies were afraid that a team like the Mavs would get him by offering him a max deal, so they basically just tried to cut everyone off by putting a 5 year max deal on the table to ensure that he stayed. It is definitely a ton of money for a guy who is only good, not elite, at his position. I would be very curious to see what dollar amounts other teams offered to Conley prior to resigning with Memphis.
Have no desire to do a Wade for Love trade and I'm not a Kevin Love fan either.
We'd have a lot of work to do to shore up our front court.
I agree. Frankly, I think that having gutted out that championship that the squad they have is going to be more trusting and pull together more than the disjunction that was going on at times during the regular season.
In short, I think Cleveland will be tougher next year.
Big question will be if everyone is healthy next year...not just Cleveland but GS.

Yep. They really overpaid. A number of teams have and will be crying the cap-space blues over the next few years.
Also, if things go badly trading guys with bloated contracts gets tough.
AS a Hawks fan, I'm actually encouraged by signing Howard and Bazemore, while letting Horford go. We had to make some changes, and signing Al to a 5 year contract would have been stupid. He is already declining, and Howard addresses two big weaknesses_ rebounding and interior defense. Bazemore should replace Korver as staring SG. Al had a lot of upside, but he's soft, and fell in love with the 3 pointer too much. Howard will give us some much needed toughness.
i knew the day he opted out he would sign with the cavs or the warriors. ring chasing david west agreed to 1 year with warriors.
