Nice opinion piece on the early season. Condensed version. Curry, at 35, is still Curry. CP3, at 38, is still CP3. so far he is embracing coming off the bench. Dillon Brooks is still Dillon with more efficiency. I like the "Dillon the Villain" moniker.

Good story about Mitch holding his own against Wemby but what caught my eye is the piece about Hubie Brown. Didn't realize he's 90 and running like a clock. His knowledge of the game? I could listen to him all day. He wouldn't know what to do with himself if he wasn't in a sweaty gym teaching.

Hubie Brown served as ESPN’s lead analyst for Wednesday’s game to start his 50th season working in the NBA. The 90-year-old, who was the Knicks head coach in the mid-80s, started as a Milwaukee Bucks assistant in 1972. “Unbelievable. Just a treasure to the game,” Tom Thibodeau said. “Great person, great coach, great announcer. Amazing that he’s still doing all the things that he’s doing. Great impact on the game of basketball, on coaches, players, everything. Incredible person.”

I did not know Hubie was that old. He was announcing games up until a few years ago.

Luka Magic. 17/21 for his 31st 40+ pt game. He just needs 6 to eclipse James' 36 under 25y age. Heck, why not make a run for it vs MJs 52? He's got 70 games + Playoffs to do it.

Maxey with 50 against the Pacers… with 7 assists, 4 rebounds , 3 blocks

He is going to be a problem. Teams will have to adjust defensively.

I forgot the Hornets had Miles Bridges, he averaged 20.2 points per game on .491 shooting in 2021-22 (80 games), and is about to return.
He was the 12th pick in 2018, another feather in the cap of Michael Jordan.

BTW Mikal Bridges of the Brooklyn Nets made just 2-14 three-pointers today in a win over Washington, and Cameron Johnson 2-11. Disgusting.

This is crazy, the Houston Rockets have now won 6 in a row, I know they've all been home games, but still impressive and the best teams in the NBA are often reliant on home court anyway. Hope they go all the way.

Get rid of Silas and Porter... bring in Udoka and VanVleet... = major upgrade
