Hi y'all! It has been awhile since my husband and I have been out without our child and need hlep with finding a restaurant to go to. We know all the popular ones like Bonefish Grill, Mansurs and Louisiana Lagniappe, but does anyone have any suggestions for us? WE want nice, not too fancy, but nice with a good selection of various food, we are not too picky and with a decent wine selection. Our 11th anniverarty was last week and we want to celebrate. Thanks!

From the above list I think the best value would be Parrain's.But they are all very fine places to dine.

Especially this time of year - the fireplace in the center of the dining area is nice to have in the background.....

How would you compare Parrain's to some of the other local favorites here in town — Mike Anderson's, Ralph & Kacoo's, Don's, etc.?

I love Mike Andersons the last two time I went was in Gonzales,Food that day Was Unbeatable, service, not to good, customers next to us from out of town .They love it and we cut up back and forth with them one of My best meals . Ralph&Kacoo's I have only been there once.Dons is just on the other side of town from Me but They at one time were the restaurant to measure Your standards by.Last time I ate there is was wonderful.
