The first thing to do is decide what car she wants or at least narrow it down to a few. Then, she and you can look up all the facts online about the car. Once you have decided on what car you want you can then get price quotes by calling dealers in Hawaii and also where you live. You might be able to get a car where you live, ship it, and spend less than buying it in Hawaii. If that is the case, then you and your daughter can go car shopping together and problem solved. If it is more, then you have to factor in how much more, and decide if it is worth the risk of her making the purchase on her own. Also include how much it would take someone for a repair shop to inspect a car and whatever other intangibles you can think of. Hope my decision process is in tune with what you are looking for.
