I don't mind the coqui frogs. I wouldn't want one right outside my bedroom but they are like crickets in that they make noise but like somebody said its more peaceful sounding than traffic.

In PR (where they are from) coquis are revered for their their "song". They don't like them in Hawaii because they robbed the night of it's quiet. From what I've heard they are here to stay and in a generation when nobody is left that remembers quiet nights nobody will care. Until then, a losing battle will be fought against them. For co-existance, most people recommend keeping a barrier around your home with no coqui-friendly vegetation. That will at least keep them further away from your home so you can sleep at night.

I have heard that chickens eat coqui frogs but unfortunately, coquis like to hide in the trees above where the chickens can reach them.

Nope, chickens won't clear out coqui frogs and the frogs will multiply and be really loud and obnoxious. They multiply like crazy and once they've become established it is almost impossible to eradicate them. One or two off in the distance might be okay and kinda nice, but they don't stay that way. You'll end up besieged with frogs right next to the bedroom windows. If you amend the soil around your house with lime, that will keep them further back from the house. Even better if you get the lime directly on the frog. That kills them instantly.

I think coqui frogs are required on the real estate disclosures, they used to be although perhaps folks have given up on this island and it isn't required anymore.
