Sigh.

I almost made it to Hawaii. I had a buyer for the house, but when I drove down there to meet the buyer and his inspector, the buyer informed me that he'd just had an offer accepted on something else and when the inspector found a needed repair, the "buyer" called the deal off and cancelled the rest of the inspection.

Seriously. Like maybe $80 to have it fixed, which I would have paid for myself. The inspector was mighty unhappy, having rearranged his schedule and possibly losing another customer and then to have the "Buyer" not want to pay for a full inspection.

Oh well. Back to the drawing board. Er, rather, back to the multiple listing. I'll sure be glad when the economy finally improves.,

I feel your pain.

We gave up selling for now. We're renting out our house in WA, and becoming renters again in Hawaii. Luckily the rental market here is better than the seller's market. Our window is now, while the husband has a job he can work anywhere with internet, and the kiddo is young enough not to mind moving to the middle of the pacific.

Best,
Kim

That's kind of my problem two. I own a house in Texas that I've had on the market for two years. I am lucky that I have it rented out for more than my mortgage payments. But, I also own a house here in Oregon that I bought two years ago. If I could get rid of the one in Texas, I would come over there as a part time resident. The way it stands now, I will just come for vacations. I am lucky that we are able to fly back and forth for free.

Obviously the "buyer" was looking for ANY reason to get out of the deal. They found a property they were happier with and the "inspection" allowed them to get their deposit back. Sucks.
