Aloha,
My husband and I made our move to the Big Island about a year and a half ago and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!
We lived in Puu Lani Equestrian Estates the first few months and then moved to Waikoloa Beach, and we have loved it here!!
We are looking for a long term rental for the next year or 2, until we know which Island our company will will be expanding on the quickest... Until then, we would like to continue leasing in the Waikoloa Beach, Mauna Lani, Puako, Hualalai (by The 4 Seasons), or Mauna Kea area.
We are very flexible with our availability, we can move anytime now until March.
We are in our 50's, well educated non-smoking, non-drinking home owners with no children and no pets.
We have local references, strong financials, and own several homes on the mainland.
We would like to keep our rent between $2,000.00 - $3000 per month for a 2+ Bedroom, depending on the area and the situation.
If you have availability, please PM me.
Mahalo!
Kai

There should be plenty of available rentals in that price range. Check with some of the Kona and Waikoloa real estate firms that do rentals, as that side of the island seems to use 3rd party companies more than the East side. Craigslist is another option, but be careful, as it is full of scammers.

That and check the bulletin boards in the area. Isn't there one at the grocery store in Waikoloa? Bulletin boards pretty much keep the replies from folks that are already here so it pre-selects the people responding so that's a plus for the home owners advertising.

Mahalo Everyone!
Thank You for your replies!
I will check with the Island Gourmet store in the Queens Marketplace for a bulletin board, that is a great idea!
...I have checked with all of the Property Managers I could find in the area, with no luck... at all.
Sorry, my PM was disabled, but I have now fixed it.
PLEASE let me know if you have any other ideas!
Mahalo!! Mahalo!

Kai

Is there a homeowner's association at Waikoloa? They'd know which units were rentals, one would think. Or just go to the building/area you want to live in and ask folks you find there. They'd know the rentals, too.
