I've spent some of the evening organizing the garage so I can pull at least one car in. My husbands car has a dead battery, so I may or may not jump it tomorrow, fill the gas tank and move it into the garage. We will see. I also have to secure everything in the yard including the empty boxes from moving that are piled out on the lanai. But I'm on Oahu so I have all day tomorrow to get that done.

I have noticed that KITV's forecast is a bit different from everywhere else. Last night it was forecasting that Iselle would hit the Big Island as a hurricane, everyone else decided that this morning an last night still expected it to be a tropical storm by that point. Now they are saying they expect it to remain a hurricane even until it gets near Kauai, while everywhere else is saying it will weaken to a tropical storm after passing over the Big Island. We will see what tomorrows models bring.

I duct taped one of my cats, Catticus Fatticus, to my very heavy lanai planter. He didn't seem to appreciate my concern for his safety, but it is for his own good. I've got scotch tape for the geckos, double sided tape for the kanapis, camouflage tape for the chameleons, some extra heavy duty packing tape for Leon, my pet boa constrictor, and some spray on contac cement to keep my blue tarp attached to the puka in the carport roof.
AND, I've thru-bolted my 50 gallon Igloo cooler to the carport floor. I'm in the process of bungy cording myself to the cooler, I'll get back to you as time permits....

Safety,,,, uuuurrrrpppp, scuze me, is my motto

IDK... If you bolt the cooler to the floor it will submerge if it floods. Better it float, no? Can double as safety raft.

I'm staying in Kapoho, have a front row seat. Wind is picking up, looking at the sky makes me dizzy, clouds spinning.

I'm staying in sunny, drought-striken, Southern California for the next several days or so.
