Howzit! Hope all is well! Been searching for a car rental agency for our trip and stumbled upon Yelp several Independent Car Rental Agency. Have any of you used their services? Or should I completely avoid them. TIA!
The biggest issue is how you will be insured and if the rental service is a legitimate business. Paying a bit more for an established rental company is worth it IMHO. I've had two cars die on me and they had a new one dropped off within an hour both times on that island. I'm definitely going to subscribe to this thread, since we'll be visiting the Big Island this winter, and will need to rent a vehicle. Thanks to the OP for asking this question :-).
You might check out airbnb, some places offer car rental along with accommodations.
