Hawai is pretty overrated so prices are much higher than they had to! Guam is also an US island but better.

Guam basically sucks compared to Hawaii haven spoken from someone who goes to both places.

Oahu (Honolulu, Waikiki): Big city nightlife, restaurants, resorts, crowded beaches.

Maui: Great beaches, resorts, friendly vibe.

Big Island: Wide open spaces, resorts (west side), volcano, local culture (east side), few beaches.

Kauai: Beautiful (well they all are). Expensive. Accessible beaches. Small.
