Used to be that just south of the Kona Inn you could walk out to a lawned area and sit on the wall for the "show". But that was when the drive from Captain Cook to Kailua town was 20 min. "If just for a day our King and Queen...."

I first visited the BI in summer '04, stayed in Kona. Loved it. Still love it, but, man, like alot of people in here are saying, it has gotten WAY more crowded, and that's just me noticing it from 3 years ago.
