I find the blue fronted a little nicer but amazons have an attitude with any color . Yellow crowned are much bigger in size and they are one of the largest amazons I do believe . I have owned a peach front and he was so loved . Unfortunately I was moving across country and my brother took him in and still has him to this day and that was 15 yrs ago .
I didn't know that Yellow Crowned is larger, let along, much larger than Blue Fronted Amazons. I knew that the Mexican Red Head and Oranged Winged are smaller, but I thought Blue Fronted Amazon is a full size Amazon.
I had a lilac crowned who looked smaller than you pic above. The underside of his wings when stretched were navy, yellow and some red. He was a great buddy, but only partial to me, not my now ex.

Yeah, Lilac Crowned is a smaller parrot just like the Mexican Red Headed Amazon.
He was my buddy for 25 years. But got a cold- (it was winter, and he must a caught a draft) when I still lived up north, which quickly developed into pneomonia. The exotic vet even taught me how to inject him with the medicine he needed, but to no avail. It broke my heart. Birds have a very high-quick- motabolism. When they get something, it very rapidly can escalate into something more serious.
People often wonder why others choose birds as pets, but they-birds, do truly have their own personalities and are quite commical.

Mealy Amazons are generally the largest Amazons you might come accross. Chaco Blue Fronts are bigger than Yellow Crowned.
I have an older male Chaco Blue Front with a very small amount of blue mixed in with white on a large amount of yellow paired up wth a smaller xanthopteryx Blue Front. Their color and size vary quite a bit over the large area of South America they are from.
I believe the rare Imperial Amazons are the largest, the smallest I've seen are subspecies of spectacled Amazons and a Jamaican YellowBill if I remember right. Another Amazon that I find really attractive and was smaller than I thought was a Cuban Amazon at a pet store for a round $ 900 years back.
