That's great news. It's like, I kinda thought it was an in the bag no brainer, but then there was that little bit of doubt...

Anyway, it is great knowing Uptown is about to take another huge step forward. I hope we can get a couple of hotels out of it but too bad they can't be too tall considering the airport.

Yeah, the CVB was the one I was worried about. I'm 100% sure it will pass the County Commission and the City Council. And, it won't just affect Uptown, this Star Uptown project is going to change the face of both Norwood and Druid Hills. Just since the announcement, property values have been skyrocketing. I'll see if I can find the news article.

Here it is

Awesome. I love how we've gone from a bunch of mossbacks carping about what things costs to actually taking on an investment mentality.

Agreed! The only people I've heard complaining so far have been Shelby County residents and County Commissioner Lashonda Scales. Lol

Yeah, I imagine the Shelby Co. backlash will be similar to when the Barons left Hoover. In the end though, this will be for the best as we'll get a great new facility that puts us on the map and LiveNation will bust their backsides to promote it since they have plenty of skin in the game.

Bascially, if a hack like Lashunda Scales is against it I'm for it.
