If we were on the edge of our seats waiting to hear the outcome of every shooting that takes place in Birmingham, we'd never get anything done.

I mean, hey, how many unsolved shootings are you keeping tabs on in Atlanta? If not, why do you not care?

I'm not aware of a situation in Atlanta where a child is hit in the crossfire between a shooter and police, and then it is never revealed whose gun the bullet that hit the child came out of.

If there were in instance like that, I'd definitely want to know the answer. I'd also wonder why the family was not demanding an answer, and how much money the settlement to keep them quiet cost taxpayers.

Happens all the time. Stick to your own knitting. When Atlanta lacks crime, come worry about us.

So your defense of officials covering up who shot a 12-year-old girl is "every city has crime?"

Birmingham sure is a great city that offers a lot of things I miss. Certain attitudes that persist there... I don't miss one bit.

No. It means that you, living in Atlanta, have a great deal to concern yourself with in terms of unsolved crimes. More than enough to not offer up your pieties to us.
