Had a realtor point me in the direction of the Boise "Bench" if I like older houses. Anyone have any thoughts on the neighborhood? Are there good schools close by?
Not to bad and yes a good high school is Bora high. Lots of older home there also with a mix of some new ones but all seam to be nothing with any kind of land tell you almost or are out of Boise city. Not that I would ever move back to Idaho. But found it okay in housing only .not price or many other things
Boise bench has some good houses, built in the 60's, 70's. Borah High is where my wife graduated from... and she turned out ok!
The north end of Boise has older homes -- built in the 20's, 30's, etc. There seems to be some sort of elevated status associated with living in the north end though, so expect to pay a premium for houses over there. Boise HS in in that area, and is one of the best schools in the state.
