Default Just a FYI

We have decided to move to the Boise area in the end of May 2008. Pretty much by faith. I will at least start my business up there right now. I will be insured and registered with the state as soon as I get my Idaho address.

I will be a licensed contractor .... repair, remodeling, and rebuilding on most homes. with experience with manufactured and mobile homes.

Thanks

You might be ok if you stay in the remodel market, new construction has almost completly stopped. We live 35 mi from boise in one of the many bedroom areas outside of middleton there are many "future" subdivisions sitting with no houses........ and the developers are still clearing ground, IMO there should be a moratorium put on new developments until this housing crisis clears, up if and when.

The problem that I see even in the remodel market is the fact that Idaho homeowners like myself are losing equity daily, the market is saturated with homes for sale . With equity being lost on a large scale where can people get the funds to remodel?

Otherwise goodluck

Default update to my move

I've had a slight change to add to my income. If someone has some advice I welcome it. I'm still going to start up my business in repair and remodel.
I posted my resume on careerbuilder and I have had several insurance companies starting to recruit me. I have 3 interviews next week there. I will be flying up there to have the interviews.
Does any one have a list of those insurance companies to avoid??

Thank you
lilbob

AFLAC, Sterling, Farmer's Insurance will offer interviews to anyone that is breathing and has their resume posted online. There are a few more that I can't think of right now. These companies just churn and burn, maybe 2-3 people out of 100 can make it in the insurance racket. It is a very profitable job if you can be one of the few that can make it, I know an agent looking at a $37,000 commission check for a policy that he sold last week.
