Since there seems to be lots of us who appreciate nature....got from the library a new all-color guide,
Living Beaches, author Blair Witherington and wife. He is a research scientist and has written one for FL already.

The book is a natural history of NC/SC/Ga beaches with beach features, animals, plants, minerals etc. And there are color photos for each entry. A section on "Hand of Man" includes the impact of humans on beach shorelines.

I thought it was so well done, ordered a copy from Amazon, $16.50 or so. Pineapple Press, org price: $21.95.
