I was literally slightly stunned. But be warned, his hard Sci-Fi is pretty hard.
Read Diaspora, very good. Reminds me of other similar novels I've read, on much the same premise - cloning persons in software, & launching the resulting bricks out into the U. The glossary was helpful, I kept looking @ the equivalencies for tau. Yah, a tough read, but rewarding. I had to take the author's word on the higher math & dimensions - those were never my field anyway.

Thomas DePrima has a lot of novels out and they sell well, so they must be okay. I read the first two he wrote and liked them.

I love Scalzi, but I wouldn't call his books "hard" sci-fi. But boy are they just FUN READS. I'm currently halfway through his book "The Android's Dream" and while it's not his best, it's still enjoyable.

We always have fantasy about space and outer world. Good science fiction can amaze and motivate, warn, raise questions and spark the imagination, inspire human creativity and each new generation of stargazers. Plus, it's just fun to read. I have listed some of the best books of Science Fiction. You get them from here
