Hello ~

I'm wondering if you know a website where you type in a street address and it shows you a map of nearby public transportation?

I know of PadMapper -- where you type in an address and it shows nearby apartment rentals

I also know of WalkScore

But neither of these sites seem to have what I'm needing.
I'm doing a job search and I need to be able to find the nearest public transportation to certain addresses. So, say an office is located (made up example) at 100 Mass Ave in Somerville...I need to see how far away the nearest T and buses are (and see what the routes of the T/bus are so I can follow the lines out and find a convenient area to live/commute). Once I find a job I'm interested in applying for...then I'll need to figure out where to live by being on the closest T/bus route.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Go to Google Maps, enter the address and check Transit. You'll see bus stops with route #s and subway lines.

If you go to the MBTA website and click on "service nearby" you should be able to find what you need. The site doesn't always work 100% of the time but if you have trouble there's a customer service number you can call.

Some time ago, Park st and a few other major T stations, had a map of the Greater Boston area with a superimposed map of the T. It's not web based, but works.
MBTA.com > Complete Public Transportation System Map this is kinda it, but can be downloaded to a PDF. Hope this helps
