Anyone know what the construction is all about? I could not find any info on line. Thanks.

Which construction? They're wrapping up the Victor which is the new mid-rise facing the Greenway.

I believe work is set to start pretty soon on One Canal (link is to a fairly irrelevant article, but it has the most up-to-date rendering) which is about a block away from the Garden. You could be seeing prep work on that site.

Finally, if it's the parking lot in front of N.Station/The Garden facing Causeway St (the site of the old Boston Garden), you could be seeing some site work for the TD Garden towers. It's a total of 300,000 square feet of retail/dining, 500+ residences and two towers, the tallest ranging from 400-600 feet. Still, the formal proposal was just submitted (this week), so if they're doing any work on the site, it's really just preliminary and not part of the actual construction process. The link above has some basic information and a few ground level and interior renderings. It'll be a nice gateway to the arena/station when it's complete. Needless to say, there's a little boom going on in that area.

Hi Irfox, it is right at the commuter rail entrance/exit. It almost looks like scaffolding, except they put these cheesy lights in the ceiling. I hope it isn't going to be a perm fixture, because it is ugly.

That's an expensive scaffolding set-up. I thought they were painting the side, but there would be cheaper ways to do that. They appear to be cutting the brings horizontally at several levels. perhaps they are installing cables of conduits?
