Are there any shopping centers with multiple Vietnamese shops? If you're familiar with the DC area, there is Eden Center in N. VA. Hoping to find something like that. If not, what do you think is the best Vietnamese grocery store in the general area?

Allston Brighton, Lowell and Fields Corner Dorchester will carry most of the large Southeast Asian grocers. Battambang Market in Lowell is one of the most popular for Vietnamese and Cambodian food. Never shopped there so can't give you first hand experience.

I'm from an area in the midwest with a huge Vietnamese population. Shops and restaurants galore! I have been on the hunt as well. I found Reliable Market in Somerville to be pretty nice.

hmmm, I know there's a decent population in Worcester, but I can't think of much more than a restaurant here and there.

Dorchester Avenue from Fields Corner stretching up through Savin Hill. This entire stretch is the biggest Vietnamese community in Boston. Grocery stores include Truong Thinh II Supermarket at 1305 Dorchester Avenue, Phu Cuong Market at 1188 Dorchester Avenue, and Lucky Supermarket at 1160 Dorchester Avenue. Restaurants include Pho Le at 1356 Dorchester Avenue, Pho Hua which is across the street, and Pho 2000 at 198 Adams Street around the corner from Fields Corner. Several Vietnamese pharmacies and curio shops in between too.

Dorchester is a gritty urban neighborhood so the setting might be quite different than what one might expect in Fairfax County, Virginia but if the O.P. is really interested in finding the most authentic Vietnamese shops and markets in Boston, then this is it.

Other areas such as Quincy, Malden, Allston/Brighton, Cambridge and Somerville also have Asian markets that might hold Vietnamese products but by and large, markets in these places tend to be Chinese and/or Korean themed (such as the aforementioned Reliable Market which is Korean). There is some crossover between the different East Asian cultures but not enough to justify that they are the same.

If you are south of Boston there's also a bunch of Vietnamese restaurants and a supermarket on Rt-28 in Randolph near the Lantana

Super 88 is owned by Vietnamese, I believe. I would guess they'd have some product as well.

Kam Man Market in Quincy. You have a stripmall that includes a department store, supermarket, video store, bank, travel agent I think and a few restaurants. Across from that is another asian supermarket.

I've been to China (I know it's obviously different then Vietnam) but this is pretty close. They tend to cover China, Korea, Vietnam, Thai maybe indonesia...not so much Japan.
