Does anyone commute from Boston area to Nashua? I have a potential job offer in NH, however I don't know how much I would actually like to live in Nashua. I did a google maps and it says its 1 hour 45 minutes. Has anyone done this commute? Thanks in advance!

The commute to Nashua is much quicker than that. Google maps time is so high right now because of the PM commute. I'd be surprised if it took longer than 1 hour each way. Will you be commuting from Boston proper?

I am not sure! I haven't been offered the job yet but I wanted to look into the logistics of everything before/if I accept. I know there are some really nice areas in boston, I was just worried about the commute. Currently I commute 25 minutes by train in NYC.

My college roommate commutes from Somerville to Manchester and it takes about an hour and 15 if he leaves Somerville before 7 or after 9:30. Even though its a reverse commute, there are still some traffic choke points.

He can't wait until his lease ends to move closer. You have to decide whether you want to drive to your social life or drive to your job. As someone who drives to my job (but has an affordable, nice apartment with decent roommates that I don't want to give up), I find that I spend very little time actually utilizing my proximity to places like Davis Square because after working a full day and fighting traffic for 45 minutes/hour to get home, I'm pooped!

That's a reverse commute from pretty much all locations. Should be no problem.

If you live and work in NH you won't pay state income tax.

While it's a reverse commute, it's still going to eat up a lot of your time and cost you significantly more than if you lived near your job. You'll really only have time to take advantage of Boston on the weekends.
