I'll admit that calling it the wild west is a a bit of an embellishment laced in sarcasm. But saying "it's not that bad" is detached from reality.

According to WCVB news, a stabbing on Boston St. in Dorchester (which abuts Boston St. on the South Boston line) around 2:30 a.m. the other night.

That's a "good" part of Dorchester, but too close, I feel, to undersirable parts.

That is a decent part of Dorchester. There isn't much on Boston Street where people would be congregating other than the Polish Club or maybe Dunkin's. There's also a restaurant 224 Boston Street, but not a likely place for a stabbing.

I found a Channel WCVB clip and it looks like it's in an area that's primarily residential near a Polish deli. Unusual for that area. Probably Andrew Sq activity spillover.
