I don't think either of you have been to East Boston lately? There's a lot of "nice" parts now

Too many poor brown people to be considered nice for a certain member. The Google Maps crime analyst.

Can of worms. They brought Eastie up during an argument in the RI forum as a jab at me (I live in a "slummy/ghetto" neighborhood). Coincidentally of course, a post about Eastie appeared in the MA forum around the exact same time. A similar argument flared up yesterday in the RI forum, and now there's another Eastie post (coincidentally, of course) along with editorializing about the neighborhood. But to be fair, Massnative71 is well versed on Eastie. He once went through the McDonald's drive-thru by Central and got "hood vibes," so I can't really argue with that. I would imagine we may be seeing some more posts about Eastie around the same time there are flare ups in the RI forum. Again, coincidentally of course.

Please don't blame others for your poor buying decision. You knew what you were getting yourself into and still proceeded.

"I sort of got a "you're not welcome here" vibe."

"It's not horrible area, but it did give me the wrong feelings."

LOL! Yes, what a terrible, awful decision to buy a condo in Eastie during the big 2020 price dip. I'd be lucky if we can give the thing away. If only my take on the neighborhood stayed stuck in 2012 (or you and Massnative were around to save me), I could have avoided this nightmare.

It's no secret that you are very eager to give up your 2.5% or 3% mortgage to take on an 8% or 8.5% mortgage elsewhere.

You're not going to tell me with a straight face that Maverick Square isn't ghetto.

Yep, I've posted regularly over the past 2 years about how we've been casually looking at homes, as well as the reasons we're looking (want an extra bedroom and some outdoor space, both of which price us out of Eastie). We're still here because we love the neighborhood (there's zero urgency to move) and the interest rates are terrible. Of course, you and your counterpart know this, but you have a weird habit of making up narratives and stories about other posters. So keep beating that drum!
